Ideally, you should drive to Miraflores de la Sierra, about 50 km from the center of Madrid, and warm up on the motorway as you approach the Cuenca Alta de Manzanares National Park. Once in Miraflores pay careful attention, as you will be starting one of the best routes you can find in the Madrid Mountains. - Canencia Port. A stretch of about 17 kilometers with long uphill curves and then more curves, this time shorter and steeper downhill (photo: wikipedia).
- Puerto de Navafría. A beautiful stretch to enjoy (no traffic, so choose the day and time well) with a perfect asphalt road where you will feel right in your element to the point of wanting to repeat it over and over again. Starting from Lozoya you will go up by 7 hair-pin curves surrounded by pine trees and vegetation, until you reach the top of the port where the asphalt will change (more granulated) and a strong descent with narrow curves starts where you will have to show your skill (or enjoy the landscape while you listen to the engine of your Ferrari). But this is not all: the Morcuera Port is the next section, between Rascafría and Miraflores de la Sierra, with more than 20 kms in straight roads to step on the gas pedal (be careful with the speed ;) and several uphill hair-pin curves with perfect visibility where you can give the rear wheel drive a try. When you arrive at the top of the port, pay attention to the next descent of several kilometers with a great slope, which can compromise the carboceramics of your Ferrari when you reach the sharp curves at high speed..
Save this route in your Google Maps so you don't miss a single kilometer.
Route 1: Rozas Village (outlet with very exclusive offers) + Galapagar Port + El Escorial.
A walk to Las Rozas Village, with a large comfortable and accessible parking (also covered) where you can enjoy the best outlet of luxury designers (Gucci, Balenciaga, Zegna, Armani, Tag Heuer, etc) in a large outdoor complex.
To change the pace, start the engine to go to the port of Galapagar (recently paved) to forget the noise and concentrate on another type of sound... for this you just have to take the service road towards Majadahonda and then take the detour to the right towards El Escorial; the rest is up to you. After three big straight stretches (watch out for the roundabouts that separate them) you will start the climb up to the port, which is short but very, very fun, so you might want to try it downhill and then up again. Once up, you just have to continue along a pleasant road (without much traffic during the day) until you reach the beautiful village of El Escorial, where, in addition to the impressive Monastery, you will find the Herrería forest (national heritage) and a wide range of cuisine to suit all tastes.
Download this route in Google Maps and enjoy.
Although you cannot enter the track with your rented Ferrari, you can enjoy a day of racing assisting with one of the best sports cars that will not go unnoticed by all attendees. Just the fact of parking and savoring the atmosphere of the Jarama is worth it, but if you also feel like driving inside the track there are many options available to complete your visit. Some of the rental companies also offer driving courses or experiences on the circuit, even with a model similar to the one you have rented (if this is your idea, ask us and we will advise you).
Let the adrenaline flow through your veins in the safest way. Driving a car on the circuit is undoubtedly a great experience that you cannot miss, and for this reason the most popular way to do it is to attend the celebration of private sessions on the circuit. There are several companies that organize them periodically, such as "103 Octanos", where you can attend with your own car. You can also hire a driving experience or course, where you can drive a Ferrari F40 or F430 Challenge competition with more than 500CV for less than 150€ by hiring the service directly with the Jarama circuit (Formula GT experience) or with external companies, such as "Emocion Day" or "Aladinia".
Fulfilling your dream is possible, now it's up to you to decide how.
